Guidelines to OCIS's Classified Ads & Business Listings

Getting Started:

Creating an account

  1. In order to create an account click "Create New Account" in the side menu bar.
  2. Fill out the form entering a
  3. User Name
  4. Password (min 6 characters)
  5. Valid Email Address

Creating a New Ad

  1. First log in with your new User Name and Password.
  2. Click on "New Classified Listing" in the menu bar.
  3. Then select a category for your ad as this will adjust the template used.
  4. Fill out the form. If you miss any required information we will prompt you to add it.
  5. Add a thumbnail image for your ad.
  6. Additionally you can ad a Photo Gallery for your ad. To do this you need to click the "Edit" button for your ad and then add your gallery pictures.

Adding a Business

  1. First log in with your new User Name and Password.
  2. Click on "New Business Listing" in the menu bar.
  3. Fill out the form. If you miss any required information we will prompt you to add it.
  4. Add a thumbnail image for your business listing.

Edit or Delete your Listing

  1. First log in with your User Name and Password.
  2. Click on "Delete on right hand side to remove listing"
  3. Click on edit to edit your listing. Note: you don't need to re-enter your image unless you want to change it.
  4. You can ad a Photo Gallery for your ad. To do this you need to click the "Edit" button for your ad and then add your gallery pictures.
  5. In order to change your password, Name, or email address you click on your profile on the sidebar menu and make the changes. Please note that you can't change your login name.

General Notes:

  1. Remember we do reserve the right to deny any ad we feel is not appropriate for this site.
  2. Currently there is no charge to place an ad or register a business on this site.
  3. Pictures will be reduced to approx. 4"*6" so limit your uploads accordingly as a larger size will take longer to upload and won't be displayed at the larger size.
  4. Note: We will accept only .jpg, .gif, or .png file extensions for pictures at this time.
  5. Selecting a category will cause the system to use different forms for general, autos, trucks, motorcycles, and real estate listings.
  6. When you create a classified listing you can link it a business if you have one. This can be done at any time.
  7. Unless you extend your expiry date all classifieds will expire and be removed after 90 days.
  8. Search are available for both Classifieds and Businesses. Instructions on there use can be found on the search page.
  9. If you have any questions, comments or would like a category added please send us a question by clicking the "Contact Support" link the side bar.
  10. If you had ads in the Old OnCallBC you can view them clicking the "(Old) OnCall BC" link in the side menu.
  11. To edit your ad/business you must be logged in and simply click on edit on the right hand side of your ad/busines



PLEASE NOTE:
This is a brand new site replacing the previous OnCall BC site. You will need to re-submit any ads that were on the old site. We are sorry this is necessary but because there are so many new features it was impossible to port over the ads. We hope you enjoy the new features.
